Come and discover the Alsatian Reid and the Rhine with this combined trip with two means of transport: steam locomotive from the turn of the century and a boat from the 1930s.

In the former station of 1880, a permanent exhibition plunges you into the steam train atmosphere of the olden days before you take your seat in the train. The fully restored ticket office and luggage storage adds to the charm of the small country station. A postal wagon is also open to the public and has exhibitions. In 1937 several scenes from La Grande Illusion were shot here.

The train leaves the Vogelsheim station at 3 p.m. and halts at the
Association’s depot. Here you will be given a guided tour by the train driver. You embark at the ‘Sans-Soucis’ landing stage at the Rhine on a boat belonging to the German river cruise company BFS. The boat trip lasts an hour and a quarter. The train journey back to Vogelsheim is at 5.45 p.m. There is a refreshment wagon on the train with bar. Dogs permitted.

Opening time Sundays from 2nd week-end in May to the 1st weekend in October and some Saturdays as well as public holidays.
Prices Adults: €17, children (4 – 12 years): €8.50
