The Vauban museum, founded in 1957, is situated on the ground floor of the Porte de Belfort. It consists of two rooms. Visitors discover the history and architecture of Neuf-Brisach from its creation right up to today.

The master piece of this museum is a model with sound track of Neuf-Brisach. This is an exact reproduction of the original model which can be seen at the Museum of Relief Plans in Paris

You will also find:
- plans of the fortifications their technique, town plans and those of the four gates as well as the arsenal, barracks and church
- plans of the Vauban canal
- a bust of Vauban by Coysevox (reproduction), portraits of Vauban and the successive governors of the fortress
- a biography of the famous children of Neuf-Brisach
- documents pertinent to the siege of 1870 and the 1939 – 1945 war

Full price: €2.50
Reduced: €1.65 (children over 10 yrs, groups of over 15 people, Cezam card, Passport Gîtes de France)

Free of charge on Museum Night and Patrimony day
Guided tour possible by appointment all year for a fee of €55
